Dr.Jeremy FernandoMBChB FANZCA FCICM
Jeremy is an Anaesthetist & Intensive Care Specialist at Rockhampton Hospital in Queensland. He is both a graduate and organiser of previous Wellington Intensive Care Medicine Courses. His study notes in both Anaesthesia and Intensive Care have become legendary texts amongst New Zealand trainees and his enthusiasm for education is unbounded.
The New Zealand faculty includes Tom Marshall, a Clinical Psychologist from Christchurch. He has long been involved in teaching part 2 candidates on the Wellington Anaesthetic Course where his advice and expertise has been invaluable.
He will lecture on the mental aspects of exam preparation & technique and provide video viva analysis for each Stream 1 candidate (see below) to help improve exam performance.
- Stream 1 exposes candidates to timed, exam condition, hot case & viva scenarios with some lecture adjuncts
- Stream 2 is lecture and SAQ based combined with observation of Stream 1
Although Stream 1 is less suitable for those yet to sit the written, more advanced candidates with some hot case practice may find the direct exposure to exam condition-scenarios helpful.
If you wish to change stream after registration, please let the course organisers know.
For those who are unsure, we would recommend the increased exposure of stream 1.
UPDATE: As of 7th January,
Stream 1 and Stream 2 are both fully subscribed.
The number of candidates has been limited to maximise exposure to exam scenarios.
If you wish to register an interest for future courses, or be wait listed for this course should a candidate drop out, please contact Fiona using the Contact tab to the left or the details below.
