Wellington Intensive Care Unit

Our unit has a strong education interest. All new staff undergo an initial orientation supplemented by regular teaching sessions. Several members of our unit teach on internal courses within our department as well as external courses that are university affiliated. We also provide teaching to other departments within Wellington Regional Hospital.

Wellington Regional Hospital is a teaching hospital with on-site campuses for both the University of Otago & Victoria University representing undergraduate medicine & postgraduate nursing schools respectively. The University of Otago campus contains a large Medical & Health Sciences Library that provides all hospital staff with free online & physical access to an array of journals & textbooks as well as quiet areas appropriate for private study.
